#1 When you're not wearing your jewelry, store it in a dry, well-lit place on a soft surface to protect it from oxidation, impacts, and scratches. 

#2 Avoid any contact with alcohol (hello, hand sanitizer). Jewelry isn't harmed by fresh water, but I recommend taking it off as often as possible before washing your hands or hopping in the shower.

#3 Clean your jewelry from time to time: use either a slightly damp sponge and dry it immediately with a clean cloth, or a polishing cloth. You can also bring it into the store for a thorough ultrasonic cleaning.
